This handmade
rattle makes a lovely baby gift. You’ll probably recognise it from
your favourite department store but this one is so much nicer and will make
much more impact because it’s handmade!
It’s not too big and the little octopus
arms are great for chewing when the first teeth are on their way. Use good
quality cotton wool that is soft and can be washed.

You need
3.5 mm crochet hook
Good quality DK cotton wool (colours of your choice)
Toy stuffing (can be taken from a pillow)

About this blog
This blog is about family cooking. It's important to get together for family meals. Here I'm posting healthy family recipes that kids and adults will love and make cooking for the family more fun. All my family recipes are well balanced and healthy family recipes but they can be tweaked for fussy eaters or spiced up for a more sophisticated adult palate. In addition to the healthy family recipes, I'm publishing some of my knitting and crochet patterns for toddler toys and accessories.
