I took these little eggy muffins to a picnic on our local playground last week. Max was too busy going down the slide that day; however the other children and their mums really seemed to enjoy them. They are easy to make and are great for breakfast, lunchboxes or party food. |

Homemade Fruit Jelly Treats
|
|
I got this idea from Pinterest and we love it. It's such a great alternative to gummy bears. I can imagine that these little delicious cubes would also be lovely in fresh iced tea with mint or even with a glass of bubbly for the grownups. Or... maybe even with cheese on a skewer? |

Chocolate Pudding with Bananas
|
|
It's so quick and delicious one just can't resist. I don't know how many times Erich has asked me to cook this, sometimes late in the evening. It probably doesn’t sound very healthy but containing milk, bananas and cocoa it’s actually quite a nutritious treat for growing kids and grown-ups. |

Left-over Veggie Toasties
|
|
Perfect for parties and picnics, or just a quick lunch or dinner.
I’ve been making these since uni. It’s a quick
and cheap meal everyone likes. And if you put lots of veg in, it’s healthy too! Just chop everything up, mix and spread it on a slice of toast. Bake. Done.

Oven-baked Spring Rolls
| My spring rolls could also be called mini pork and cabbage strudels. By grating the cabbage I make it almost invisible, which is great for fussy eaters. They are full of flavour, not at all greasy and simply delicious. |

Mini Tuna and Spinach Muffins
| A tasty but healthy snack. These delicious savoury muffins are perfect for children’s parties or picnics. They are a slightly healthier alternative to sausage rolls and sandwiches. |

Baked Apples with Vanilla Ice Cream
|
|
Definitely one of our family favourites this winter. I love it when the flat is filled with this lovely warm Christmassy scent of apples and cinnamon. And when Max is sitting in front of the oven to wait for his favourite winter treat. |

Apple & Buttermilk Pancakes
|
|
If breakfast, snack or dinner, delicious pancakes with a glass of milk are always a great sweet but nutritious treat! Bump is quite big now and with only two weeks to go I'll have to try relax a bit and let grandma take care of the cooking. So watch the space for grannies favourites. I'm looking forward to it! |

Wholemeal Pumpkin Seed Crackers
| A healthy snack. Enjoy on its own, with a slice of cheese or a nice spread. To be honest, Max had to try them a couple of times before he actually ate a whole one. I think it was the seeds I had put on. He seemed to be much happier with just parmesan topping. And cutting out little car, train and aeroplane shapes definitely helped. |

Super Berry Ice Cream Pops
| One of your five-a-day! Using frozen berries is cheaper and will allow your ice cream pops to freeze quicker. We can't get enough of them and there's so much room for creativity. Watch this space! |

Green Asparagus Omelette
| Spanish omelette my way. An omelette is a quick and easy way out if you don’t know what to cook, assuming you’ve got potatoes and eggs in your fridge. With asparagus being in season this is a quick and easy idea for lunch or dinner after a busy day out. |

Piña Colada Trifle
| A great summer dessert. I just had to grab one of those super sweet pineapples. Of course, it would have been delicious on its own but I was just in the mood for something a bit more exciting. And it’s super healthy too! |
